Spring Exhibition at "Cultural Centre of Aegion"

The "Cultural Centre of Aegion", at the city of Aegion, Greece was hosted the spring exhibition of artist Giola, with her new, 2008 collection and some of her past Art Work.

It is the renovated building of old Hospital, which functions as Cultural Centre. It is surrounded by a big [aithrion] space with tall trees, gardens and flower-beds, where the aestival months are entertained the events of cultural summertime.




For one and a half week, visitors from local area as well as small groups of students, visited the exhibition.

They had the occasion to admire the artist's work and to be informed for the attributes of pressed flowers and the categories of colours.

Giola told that "Pressed Flowers can be a beautiful element for decoration as such technique improves the delicate beauty of a flower".

GALLERY "NAFPAKTIA"

At the front of the traditional port of Nafpaktos, Greece, a city with unequalled beauty and rich historical heritage with plenty of sights such as The Castle at the top of the hill, the graphic port with Venetian walls, the imposing Clock, the Old City and its historical centre and the impressive Rio-Antirrio Bridge there is the Exhibition hall called "NAFPAKTIA".
Nafpaktos is famous for its love in the arts and during the summer months, in particular, there is a rich cultural activity in musical, theatrical and dancing events, painting, photography and book exhibitions.

On Saturday 28 July 2007 I had my personal exhibition opening event, concerning Pressed Flowers Art work. At the event there was a music happening and refreshments for the visitors. The exhibition is the only event of pressed flowers which has been took place in Greece and contributed to an international exchange in various ways through pressed flowers.
